Time to DOUGH for it!
Our Spring Doin's Registration is now Open!
In the immortal words of Peter Lebeck, "Dough for it!" Or I think that's what he would have said if he spoke English. So please join me, and the brothers of your favorite piss poor bear wrassler, as we gather in Randsburg, California for our 2025 Spring Clampout!
If you are OK with helping with set-up, come on Thursday, April 10th. Gates open at noon. Otherwise Clamping starts in earnest on Friday morning, then runs through Sunday morning. We'll have the use of the former Randsburg School for our indoor fun plus outdoor space for up to 100 Clampers and their PBCs. So sign up right away or you may miss out, because at PXL we don't take walk-ins and don't do retreads.
On Saturday we'll be erecting a plaque to the original Randsburg steam bakery which dates to the 1900's, when commercial baking in Randsburg began in earnest through the use of copious amounts of steam to make bread rise! It's an uprising and a plaquing that even an old sourdough could love, including 'ol Peter. Some even say he was a half-bread . . . half white and half wheat with a smidge of rye.
